Manager/Coaches Guidelines
2025 Challenge Cup Manager Eligibility
Utah USSSA seeks dedicated male and female players to be considered for this prestigious annual event, based on the following criteria:
Manager/Coach Qualifications:

Scorebook Requirement:
Each manager/coach is required to maintain a scorebook at the events. Scorebooks will be provided to each manager/coach at the first Qualifier event. Managers/Coaches must turn in the scorebook at the end of the event before leaving the park. -
Good Sportsmanship:
Demonstrates good sportsmanship both on and off the field. -
Positive Play:
Plays the game with positivity, enthusiasm, and honors the true spirit of the game while competing in USSSA/GSL events. -
Teamwork:
Strives to do their best and encourages teammates to reach their full potential. -
Respectful Communication:
Maintains respectful and positive communication with USSSA staff and fellow participants. -
Program Support:
Actively supports and advocates for their respective USSSA/GSL program. -
Good Standing:
Must be in good standing with Utah USSSA, adhering to all league guidelines and expectations. -
Ambassadorship:
Represents the game with honor and pride, being considered one of the best at their respective position within their class. -
PRV Requirement:
Must have a Player Rating Value (PRV) equal to or lower than the level they are representing.

- Do You Have Plans to Help Raise Money for Your Team to Travel to Florida?
- What Sets You Apart from Others to Manage/Coach a Challenge Cup Team?
A Final Note:
The Challenge Cup is the “Olympics of Softball,” and we want individuals who are truly honored to represent the Utah USSSA/GSL program and the state of Utah. This event is not about “Buddy Ball” — it is about bringing together the most dedicated, skilled, and passionate players to compete at the highest level.
