2025 Rules and Guidelines*State Events
Please help us out with keeping this park, NO ALCOHOL is permitted inside the complex! NO sunflower seeds! And lastly PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF AND YOUR TEAM.
Time Limits
- Games will be limited to 55 minutes.
Home Run Rule
- Men’s E- One (1) Home Runs per team. Excessive HR’s are IEO’s.
- Men’s D- Three (3) Home Runs per team. Excessive HR’s are IEO’s.
- Men’s C/B- Six (6) Home Runs per team. Excessive HR’s are DBO’s.
- Women’s- Three (3) Home Runs per team. Excessive HR’s are IEO’s.
Courtesy Runners Each team is allowed one courtesy runner, per inning.
Bat Rule Only bats with the new 240 stamp will be allowed.

- Players caught using an unstamped bat will be called out and ejected from the game.
- Players using an altered bat will be ejected from the tournament.
Teams can test 20 total bats (Total bats tested can only be 20 pass or fail) Only 15 Passed bats will be stickered (please have 2 players bring all the team bats to be tested at least 45 mins before 1st game)
Ball Rule The Tournament Director will provide: 3 Game balls will be provided, Per Team
Approved balls include any Classic M/W, Pro M/W, or Hard-Core ball with a USSSA or GSL stamp.
NO ONYX BALLS or anything above a 44-375
10-Player Rule Teams may start with 9 players but must:
Take an out in the 10th position.
Add the 10th player at any time.
Game Start Rules There will be no grace period added prior to the game’s scheduled start time.
Teams must: Submit lineups and be ready 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Be prepared for games to start early. (If your team is not there and ready to play 30 mins before game time, your team will FORFEIT that game)*The 1st game of the day (In your division) Will start at game time, NOT 30 mins early
Fighting or Physical contact: This will NOT be tolerated! Suspensions will be given out anywhere from 30 days to 1 year. All incidents will be review by the Tournament Director listed, State UIC, Umpire of the game & The State Director
ANY PLAYER CAUGHT PLAYING WITH OUT A 2025 USSSA PLAYER CARD WILL BE SUSPENDED UNTIL THE PLAYER HAS AN ACTIVE 2025 USSSA PLAYERS CARD
Applicable Rules
Unless amended by the Utah State By-Laws, all games will adhere to United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA/GSL) rules.
** Women’s Equalizers**
BRACKET PLAY ONLY- Pool play game will be played straight up!
- E team vs. D team – The E team may choose home team or receive 4 spotted runs (2 per inning for the first 2 innings).
- E team vs. C team – The E team will receive home team and 6 spotted runs (2 per inning for the first 3 innings).
- E team vs. B or above team – The E team will receive home team and 8 spotted runs (2 per inning for the first 4 innings).
- D team vs. C team – The D team may choose home team or receive 4 spotted runs (2 per inning for the first 2 innings).
- D team vs. B or above team – The D team will receive home team and 6 spotted runs (2 per inning for the first 3 innings).
- C team vs. B or above team – The C team may choose home team or receive 4 spotted runs (2 per inning for the first 2 innings).
