EVENT DETAILS

 Format: The teams will play into a Double elimination bracket, with a dropdown single

elimination bracket. *All teams will play at least 3 games

Rules will be USSSA Modified, except amended by the Utah State By-Laws Tournament rules, all rules of United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) will be used. * GAMES WILL START EARLY IF POSSIBLE

Teams may 5/5, 6/6, 6/4 *Must have at least 4 girls on defense at all times

(1^st Number is male players, 2^nd number is female players)

*$25 per game for an Extra Defender on defense Male or Female, (Total of 11 Defensive Players)

*$40 per game for both a male and female player, (Total of 12 Defensive Players)

All teams are responsible for their spectators.

Run rule: 25 after 3, 20 after 4 and 15 after 5

Tournament Director will supply 2 Mens balls & 2 Womens balls to each team at check in.

*Any Classic M, Pro M ball, Classic W or Hard-Core ball Stamped with USSSA Or GSL is allowed.

 Home-run Rule: Mens & Womens teams get 1 per game all other are outs.

*Teams may buy up to 4 per game giving them a max of 5 HRs per game

*1 for $5 or 4 for $20 (HR tickets do not carry over to the next game)

Umpires will keep score

Count starts 1-1, Pitch Hight is 3-10, Mat & Plate will be called a strike

Any Director can ask for a bat for any reason at any time. ONLY 240 USSSA STAMPED BATS are legal for this event.

Unlimited runners

Teams may bat up to 14 players.

Chicago Ball Rules “ If weather comes into play”

Games will be played with a 16’ Clincher Ball” it’s larger and softer than a softball!

Players will not play with gloves!

*Pitcher and 1^st base may use fielding gloves

Unlimited Home Runs, Unlimited Runners

Bats must have a USSSA STAMP.Ten (10) players (at least 4 females) in the field at all times.

THERE ARE NO POSITION REQUIREMENTS ON DEFENSE.

Batting order can be any

A “strike mat” will be used to determine sure strikes, if the softball touches any part of the mat OR home plate on a legal pitch (3’-10’ arc), it will be considered a strike.

All batting count starts at 1-1 (One ball, one strike).

NO METAL SPIKES ARE ALLOWED.
