Qualifications:

Any indigenous tribal person who carries their official Native American “card” issued by their tribe and recognized by the Government may be a part of a Sports Team being recognized. As a Native American Team.  Pacific Islanders must also show proof of heritage by a birth certificate or other naturalized ID or Government issued ID.

Non-Native or Pacific Islander players:

As with all Specialty Programs i.e., Hispanic, Black American, etc. Native Teams are allowed to pick up non-Native/Pacific Islander players as long as they are properly identified.

Non-Native/Pacific Islander Player Identification :

The coaches are issued  wristbands for their non-Natives at check-in.  A team may have up to 5 non-Natives, however, only three (3) are allowed to play on the field at any time on offense or defense, and regular USSSA Rules apply on substituting and re-entry.

Military Eligibility:

If they are Varsity A in the Military, they Must play Competitive.  If they are Varsity B, they may play either Comp or Rec.

Sec. 1. The Men’s and Women’s  Native America tournaments  will feature  the following divisions:

Men’s Competitive & Recreational – Women’s Competitive & Recreational – Mixed Competitive & Recreational

Sec. 2.   Any Men’s Native America Team that has Players on its roster who played during the current  season on Class “A,”B,” or “C” Teams shall be required  to play in the Hispanic Competitive  Division.

Sec. 3. A Native America Team playing in the Men’s & Women’s Competitive  Division may have one player on its roster whose name appears on the Major  Players List.

Sec. 4.  Native America the Men’s and Women’s and Mixed Programs are divided into two Divisions (Competitive and Rec).  In general, any “D” player and below are eligible to play Rec or Comp, however, “C” rated players and above Must play Comp.  The same for Mixed, however, they only must have Four (4) women on the field at any time for defense and can use the extra male as long as they’re batting equal or more girls. Example:  They’re batting 12 with a correct rotating boy-girl line-up, they can field 6 boys-4 girls if they want.  There is NO commitment line used in the outfield either.

Sec. 5. Players are eligible to participate in the Native America Program by birth  or marriage.

Sec. 6.  All playing rules not specifically covered in this rule, shall be governed by the other rules, as outlined  in Rules 1 through 10 of the USSSA Rule Book.
